In Jeju, "OleGil"originally referred to the narrow path between the street and one's doorstep.  Jeju olegil, a series of walking trails that streach around the entire coast of the island.  The trails pass through various landscapes along the way, including small villages, beaches, farms and forests.

In these series of Jeju OleGil, I like to express the enchanting beauty of sea/landscapes through OleGil in a manner of abstraction.

제주의 올레길은 제주말로 마을길에서 개인집의 문앞까지 이르는 좁은길을 일컫는 말이다.
제주에는 올레길이 전 섬에 걸쳐 있다.  어떤길은 해안가로 어떤길은 작은 마을이나 농경지 그리고 숲이나 오름에 걸쳐있다.

나는 제주 올레길이라는 시리즈의 그림에서 아주 매력적인 아름다운 풍경들을 추상의 표현을 빌려 담아보고 싶다.
