                                                                       A Celestial Visitation

I visited my favorite seaside at OEDO in the dark.  There was no one else in this chilly winter.  I just gazed at the vast blackness of the night sea.  The sound of waves at the rocky shore reminded me that the vast placid blackness was indeed ocean.  There were only a few stars among clouds.  When I realized that I was seeing a bright light flew in the night sky, my heart was so warmed up.  Because I saw this flying light back in North Carolina so often and this was the first time I saw since I came back to Korea. I used to call it a Flying Star.  I felt like I was visited by my celestial family again.

나는 외도에 내가 좋아하는 바다가를 갔다.  이 추운 겨울날씨에 아무도 없었다.  나는 밤의 바다의 드넓은 검음을 응시했다.  바위 해안에 부딪히는 파도가 드넓은 온화한 검음이 진정 바다라는 것을 상기시켰다. 구름속에 몇볓 별들만 있었다.  한줄기 밝은 빛이 밤하늘에 날아가는 것을 보고 있다고 알았을때 내 가슴은 아주 따스해졌다.  왜나면 노스캘롤라이나에서 나는 흔히 이 날아가는 빛을 보았는데 한국에 돌아와서는 처음 보았기 때문이다 . 나는 그것을 나르는 별이 불렀었다. 나는 마치 천상의 가족으로부터 다시 방문을 받은 느낌이었다.
