Today I did not know what to paint first. I flipped thru my photo gallery on the smart phone, and I found this photo of a very quite dignified looking horse at the ISIDOL ranch that I visited last month. Even though the horse was confined inside the fence, I wanted to endow a sense of freedom and joy of basking in the sun and wind to the very calm and dignified looking horse in this painting.
오늘은 처음에 어떤그림을 그려야할지 몰랐다. 스마트폰에 저장된 사진들을 넘겨보다가 지난달에 이시돌 목장에서 본 아주 조용하고 기품있어보이는 말을 찾았다. 실제로는 말은 철조망 안에 가두어져 있었지만 나는 이 그림에서 아주 침착하고 품위있는 이 말에게 바람과 햇살을 온 몸으로 쐬고 있는 자유와 기쁨을 부여했다.
