Feeling Red

In this calm grey day, I wanted to paint red.  Color of red can express pain or violence, but to me, red is the color of passion and energy of vitality.  Among 7 chakras in our energy center, red represents root chakra and it is associated with the feeling of safety and grounding.  It is a supporting foundation for our daily lives on Earth.  I needed a feeling of stability today before I leave for travel tomorrow.

Note:  I will be on travel for 3 weeks.  So my daily painting will resume after I come back later this month.  I thank you for your visit.

가라앉은 회색의 날씨에 나는 빨간 그림을 그리고 싶어졌다.  빨간색은 아픔이나 폭력을 나타낼수도 있지만 내게 빨간색은 정열과 생명력의 기운을 의미한다.  빨간색은 우리의 에너지센터에 7가지 챠크라 중에 뿌리 (근본) 챠크라를 나타내고 뿌리 챠크라는 땅에 뿌리를 내리는 느낌의 안전감과 중심이 잡힌 느낌과 관련있다.  우리가 지구에서 살아가는데 매일매일의 가장 든든한 바탕이 되는것이다.  나는 내일 여행을 떠나기전에 그러한 빨간색이 주는 안정적인 느낌이 필요했다.
