During a travel thru Eastern Europe, church or cathedral steeples are prevalent scenery wherever any villages around. It was quite nostalgic to see steeples amongst winter trees or with a background of majestic mountain ranges. In this painting, I make a steeple quite simple and suggestive to convey etherial atmosphere.
동유럽을 여행하는 동안 교회나 성당의 첨탑은 마을이 있는곳마다 있는 흔한 풍경이다. 거대한 산등성이를 배경으로 하거나 또는 겨울 나무들 사이로 보여지는 첨탑을 보는 것은 꽤 향수를 불러 일으켰다. 이 그림에서는 영묘한 분위기를 전하고자 첨탑을 아주 단순하고 암시적으로 표현하였다.
