Turquoise Horizon

A process of editing may be needed in almost every field of art making. I also go thru the editing process by adding, subtracting, simplifying, and harmonizing in my painting.
So this one turned out to be a land/seascape with a simple turquoise horizontal line as a stark contrast between dark colors.  I wanted to convey a calm and meditative feeling thru this nightscape.

거의 모든 예술 작업과정에는 편집 과정이 필요하리라 본다.  나도 그림을 그릴때 더하거나 빼거나 단순화하거나 조화로움을 꾀하는 편집 과정을 거친다.
그래서 이 그림은  단순한 옥색 수평선이 어두운 색면 사이에서 강한 대조를 이루고 있는 땅/바다 풍경화가 되었다.
나는 이 밤풍경 그림을 통해 고요하고 명상적인 느낌을 전하고 싶었다.
